Dive With Sharks at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas
That’s right. Mandalay Bay Las Vegas is offering hotel guests the opportunity to dive with Sharks. Yes, it sounds crazy – but how many people do you know can actually say they did something like this? Worst case scenario, it’s a pretty cool way to go out!
It’s all taking place at the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Thrill-seekers will have the opportunity to dive side-by-side with dive guides and more than 30 sharks including sandtiger, white tip and sanbr sharks, in a 1.3 million gallon tank!
There’s a small catch – you must be a certified diver and you must be 18 years of age or older to participate. I guess it makes sense. “This memorable adventure will appeal to anyone who loves underwater exploration and wants to learn more about these fascinating animals,” said Adrienne Rowland, director of Shark Reef Aquarium.
So here’s how it works. Each dive is limited to one per day with a max of two people – to make your experience more intimate. The adventure begins at 3pm. You’ll get a guided tour of Shark Reef and then receive your dive and equipment orientation, before changing into wetsuits and beginning their submerged journey.
“Shark Reef Aquarium’s Dive with Sharks is truly a world-class experience. I felt like I was diving in five different oceans, and there were times I actually forgot I was in an aquarium,” said Adam Schaffer, a Dive with Sharks participant. People from all over the world will now be traveling to Mandalay Las Vegas to get the chance to swim with the sharks. Will you?
