Comedian Tracy Morgan Recovering from Kidney Transplant
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- Actor comedian Tracy Morgan recovering from a Kidney transplant undergone earlier this month his publicist said Monday.
The 42-year-old “30 Rock” actor will miss at least two episodes of the hit NBC sitcom in which he co-stars with Tiny Fey and Alec Baldwin.
Morgan's reps said, "Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery," adding, "He is looking forward to going back to work."
Morgan’s successful transplant occurred around Dec.10. According to E! Online. Morgan’s absence will be explained by some “Happy news.” No further details were given.
The comic actor was first diagnosed with diabetes 15 years ago, which Morgan said he did not take seriously until he got sick during the first season of ‘30 Rock’ and almost had his foot amputated.
The Queens native has already been out and about, attending last Friday's Knicks game at the Garden. He is expected to be back on the set of ’30 Rock’ after the holidays.
