Woman Thrown From Car Window Lands On Garage Roof
TWO RIVERS, Wisconsin ~ (Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter / Green Bay Press-Gazette) ~ A woman from Manitowoc flipped her car, flew out the back window, landed on a rooftop and lived to tell about it, in police custody.
According to a Two Rivers Police Department report released on May 16th, 23-year-old Nichole Lavin was traveling northbound on Memorial Drive at a high rate of speed while also swerving in and out of traffic. Witnesses said Lavin's vehicle struck the median, went airborne, crossed the southbound lane and then rolled over four times. Her car ended up in the front yard of a home in the 3600 block of Memorial Drive.
During the rollover, Lavin was ejected from the car's rear window, which police think may had already broken, flew through the branches of a pine tree and finally came to rest on the garage roof of the house. With the assistance of bystanders she climbed off the roof and then tried to walk away from the accident scene. Paramedics from Two Rivers Fire Department transported her to Aurora Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police claim that alcohol allegedly played a part in the accident, which is still under investigation at this time.
