Paris Hilton Finishes Her Probation in Sin City Drug Case
Paris Hilton is just about done with Vegas. The hotel & socialite starlet is finishing up a year of probation stemming from a 2010 drug arrest on the Las Vegas Strip.
Paris was arrested in Las Vegas last summer for cocaine possession. Police found a very small amount of the substance on Hilton after a black Cadillac Escalade she was riding in was pulled over by The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Hilton pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of drug possession and obstructing an officer after police pulled over her and her then-boyfriend, Cy Waits, on Aug. 26, 2010.
Metro Police Officers stopped the SUV she was traveling inside shortly before midnight on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Wynn Hotel Casino after noticing the scent of marijuana coming from the vehicle. An officer told news reporters that cocaine fell out of Hilton's purse as she pulled out some lip balm. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and later released Saturday (August 28, 2010) at 2:45 a.m. on her own recognizance.
According to court officials, Hilton's attorneys appeared in court Tuesday on behalf of the 30-year-old celebrity socialite to show that Paris had indeed completed her obligations to the court. She also had to pay a $2,000 fine and serve 200 hours of community service in addition to probation.
The details of her probation have yet to have been released, but we all could guess about the details of those community service hours included... If it included anything at all.
