Man Trying To Steal Car Blames Batman Movie

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania ~ (WISH-TV/ AP) ~ Pittsburgh Police said that a man tried to carjack a plainclothes officer who was parked near the set of the latest Batman movie and allegedly told the cop it was part of the script.

Detective Robert DiGiacomo was sitting in an unmarked police car, around 7:15pm on the evening of July 30th, looking for a suspect in an assault. That's when, police report, 21-year-old Micah Calamosca opened the passenger door, sat down in the seat and told DiGiacomo to get out of the vehicle. The undercover officer pulled his gun and told the now-suspect the he needed to get out of the car.

While arresting the suspect, DiGiacomo says Calamosca claimed that he was part of filming on the nearby movie shoot for 'The Dark Knight Rises' and that taking the vehicle was all part of the script. Clamosca was taken into custody and faces one count of robbery of a motor vehicle; it was not clear if he had an attorney.
