Man Airlifted After Knife Fight With Housecat
CLEVELAND, Texas ~ (yourhoustonnews.com) ~ A man was taken to the hospital, by air ambulance, after getting into a fight with a house cat.
The man was reportedly attacked by the cat (not the one pictured) on May 6th and sustained cuts and injuries so severe he had to be transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. The altercation between man and beast occurred at a home on County Road 3182 in Cleveland, which is located about 40 miles north of Houston in Liberty County. He was first taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center before being transported by helicopter.
His injuries were aggravated because, at some point, during the fight both the man and the cat were injured by a knife the man was holding. Texas game wardens Danny Diaz and Adam Broll captured the cat and it was taken to the Big Thicket Animal Hospital for examination, where it was found to be mortally wounded and euthanized by a Cleveland veterinarian. The man's identity is still unknown at this time.
