Katy Perry Hits Vegas, But Partied Boise Style

Singer Katy Perry – a.k.a. Russell Brand's soon-to-be ex-wife – was looking a little blue recently... But that was only her hair! She reportedly spent her Friday fun day in Sin City according to E! News. Not that celebs need any specific reason to hit The Strip... but apparently she did indeed have one.

“The pop singer was in town to help kick off 1 Oak nightclub's grand opening weekend celebration, co-hosting its GiveLove Charity event at the Mirage hotel hot spot with her BFF, J. Molinari jewelry designer Markus Molinari,” the story said. In fact, the songster tweeted “Happy to be supporting my best friend @MDMOLINARI & his j.molinari jewelry w/all my other besties in #VEGAS for a great cause @GiveLoveOrg," on Friday night.

It was reported that this event's proceeds will go to improving sanitation systems in Haiti, as well as offering temporary residences to those in need of accommodations. It's nice to have celebs helping out but I'm pretty sure Home Depot has a couple toilets they could ship on over there... don't you think?
So how was she acting socially given her recent personal life tumult? Well, a source told E! News that Perry was “pretty mellow” and that her “group that she was with was partying, but she barely got up and pretty much remained in one place all night." People Magazine's source said she was “really tame.” I suppose the title of “co-host” might have been a tad inflated? At least based on that description, her love life going to crap certainly hasn't driven her to partake in any nose candy.

Katy wasn't the only celebrity lending her face to the charitable cause. Some others names spotted in attendance were Paris and Nicky Hilton (there's a shock), Christina Milian, Michelle Trachtenberg and Shenae Grimes.
