Kanye West and Nicki Minaj to Reign Atop Billboard Charts
According to HITS Daily Double, rapper, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and female emcee, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday are aligned to overtake Billboard's number one and two spots, respectively, when the album numbers are officially released tomorrow.
No matter what musical preference or genre generally overtakes over your iTunes library, you should be well aware of a couple quality releases the industry has seen in the past couple weeks. The most notable to drop, accounting for one of the top anticipated albums of 2010, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, should come as no surprise to any of us, as it has received perfect reviews from virtually all who have dissected its contents - Rolling Stone, Billboard, Source, Vibe - you name it, and they've dubbed it holy.
Counting for the number to spot, rousing and representing all the ladies out there, is Young Money female sensation, Nicki Minaj's debut work Pink Friday. The chick has more personality than your neighborhood schizophrenic, but also charisma and talent to boot. Why wouldn't she be killing it?
The Billboard numbers are tallied and then officially released on Wednesday (tomorrow), so as HITS Daily Double indicates, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy's digits are 518,775 and Pink Friday's being 371,049. Not too shabby in a day and age of pirating run rampid.
The beautiful thing pertaining to the aforementioned projects is the mere fact of who is number three on the list, everyone's favorite, country girl patron saint, Taylor Swift. (Nobody caught that sarcasm, did they?) Her Speak Now effort cannot even hold a candle to the numbers of her BFF, Kanye West - nearly doubled if you must know. But enough of my opinionated babblings, let's give credit where credit is due in congratulating the two emcees on their quality album releases.
