Home Alone House Up For Sale
“Ahhhhhh!” Easily one of the most recognizable screams of the generation that back in 1990, everybody was doing (with hands placed on cheeks). Of course, made famous by our favorite precocious stow-away, Macaulay Culkin... better know then as eight year old Kevin McCallister who is accidentally left at home when the family rushes out to spend Christmas in Paris. “Home Alone” became an instant Christmas time classic and now, one of the most famous characters from the movie is for sale – the home!
Listed by Coldwell Banker, the Georgian style 1920's “Home Alone” home is located on Chicago's North Shore in the historic town of Winnetka and just hit the market with a list price of $2.4 million. According to Reuters, “John and Cynthia Abendshien, the owners of the four-bedroom, red brick home north of Chicago, said they are ready to downsize, now that their daughter -- who became Culkin's playmate -- during the six-month long shoot is grown up.”Actually, come to think of it... This home appreciated in better condition and value than Culkin. And he's only 30! Hmm...
As an added bonus, the house does come boobie trap ready to catch any bumbling bird-brained burglars in the neighborhood.
