Friday Night of Memorial Day Weekend in Las Vegas - RECAP

The crazies were out this weekend in celebration of the holiday here in Las Vegas and there was certainly no shortage of celebrity appearances. Here’s just a summary of SOME Of the things that went down on this crazy three day weekend!

Friday night Mike Jones performed at JET Nightclub. As a result, the cover charge was cranked to $40 per guest and there was a 3-bottle minimum for all tables in the main room! Cheryl Burke from Dancing With the Stars celebrated her 25th birthday at LAVO inside The Palazzo, while everyone else seemed to head to the Palms Las Vegas.

“The Love Festival” is what the Memorial Day Weekend party was called at the Palms and it brought athletes and celebrities from all over the country to the Palms Casino Resort here in Las Vegas. Retired NBA star Charles Oakley dined at N9Ne Steakhouse while NFL tight end Jeremy Shockey dined with Palms owner George Maloof. Javon Walker of the Oakland Raiders was seen dining at a table with singer-songwriter and actor Jesse McCartney, who was in town to perform at the KLUC Summer Jam over the weekend. Reggie Bush showed up later in the evening to meet up with Walker before they all left to head over to check out DJ AM at Rain Nightclub.

Over at Moon Nightclub there were sightings of Jesse McCartney and Javon Walker again, this time with legendary rappers Jermaine Dupri and Nelly. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from the UFC was seen there with a group of 10 friends. Also at Moon Nightclub Las Vegas was MMA champion Dan Henderson.

Earlier in the evening, Palms Pool & Bungalows were the place to be. DJ Scotty Boy was on the turn tables with DJ Twin and John Huntington. The pool was packed with NFL players including Terrell Owens, Darnell Dockett, Dwight Freeney, Gary Guyton, Harry Sharper Jr., Shawne Merriam, Willie Parker, Willis McGahee and more. From the NBA, we saw Juwan Howard, Michael Finley, Andrew Melvin Gooden, Rashad McCants and others. Joining the athletes was Benji Madden of Good Charlotte who joined some of the football players in a private cabana.
