Controversy Hits American Idol With Announcement of New Judges
Controversy arose surrounding the newly elected judges for this season of American Idol, when it came to attention that Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez' ex husband, intended to audition for his former wife.
As soon as Jennifer Lopez was announced as a judge for the new season of American Idol, Noa announced that he planned to audition for the open-to-the-public talent show, stating he would serenade his ex-wife with one of HER own songs.
This is the latest in the J. Lo/ O. No feud that dates back the couple's falling out, which immediately began after their brief marriage.
A friend of Ojani told RadarOnline.com: "Jennifer got Fox to make sure the screeners would not let Ojani anywhere near the auditions," he said.
"Fox made it clear that he was not welcome and that he could be arrested if he showed up, so he backed-out at the last minute."
Noa married Lopez in 1997. The couple met while Noa was working as a waiter. Since their divorce, Noa has attempted to commercially release honeymoon footage of Lopez, as well as a tell-all book about his time being married to the star. Both of Noa's prior attempts have been blocked with legal action by J. Lo.
