Celebrate Halloween at OktoberFrightfest in Las Vegas
Looking for something fun and exciting to do for Halloween but are low on cash? How about heading to Historical Downtown Las Vegas for OktoberFrightfest 2010. From now till October 31st, Fremont Street is transformed into a Halloween playground. There is so much to do and see you will not be able to experience it all in one night.
Free nightly shows include: Frank and the Steins, a costume clad group of singers and dancers performing classic Halloween themed songs like Thriller, Time Warp and The Monster Mash. You can see their performances on the First Street Stage, Thursdays-Mondays at 8:15pm, 9:15pm, and 10:15pm. Freakin Magic, Horror Hospital, starring Magician Kevin James is on the Third Street Stage, Wednesdays-Sundays at 8:15 and 10:15pm. This show was not my cup of tea but, the crowd seemed to enjoy it. Lastly, is Alice & Ozzy’s Frightmare, which was my favorite of the three. Alice & Ozzy is a theatrical rock group that pays tribute to legendary shock rockers Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper. They perform on the Main Street Stage, Tuesdays-Saturdays at 9:15pm, 10:15pm, and 11:15pm.
In addition to these free shows there is a haunted house inside of Binion’s called, “Fear”. It is not free but, is only $20.00 for two tickets. And on Halloween night you can be a part of the 1st Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade. You can march in the parade for free, as long as you are in costume. The parade starts at 7pm on 4th Street and ends on Ogden Street.
Halloween does not have to cost you a “pretty penny”, in fact, I only spent around $20.00 and had a blast. So, check it out, you will be glad you did.
