Carlos Santana Assists America’s Hungry Children in Las Vegas
Through his awesome show at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino here in Las Vegas, music sensation Carlos Santana will help raise food, funds and awareness for America’s hungry children throughout the month of November.
During eight of his performances in November, concertgoers who bring five non-perishable food items or make a $5 donation to the Three Square Food Bank will receive $5 off participating restaurants inside the Hard Rock (Ago and Rare 120). Coordinating the entire effort will be “WHY” (World Hunger Year), who is dedicated to fighting the causes of hunger and poverty throughout the world.
“It is my honor to help World Hunger Year and those who are in need in Las Vegas,” Carlos Santana said. “This year above all others in recent memory is an important one to help our brothers and sisters of this family we call the human race. I encourage you to help and to participate in this more than worthwhile drive.”
“WHY has a long history of working with artists to support food banks and local anti-hunger charities across the country” said WHY’s Director of Marketing & Fundraising Noreen Springstead “At a time of ever increasing hunger, poverty, and joblessness we are honored to work with Carlos Santana to shine a spotlight on people who need help to feed their families, and we can bring food to the table thanks to generous fans and our grassroots partners like the Three Square Food Bank feeding those in need every day of the year.”
