AFANs AIDS Walk Las Vegas Rakes In Thousands

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) hosted their 20th annual AIDS walk this past weekend here in Las Vegas at the World Market Center with Penn & Teller acting as the Grand Marshals. The "Penn & Teller Challenge" which brought in nearly 1,000 contributors was just a fraction of the 8,500 that participated.

So far, we're told the AIDS walk raised $88,000, which the "Penn & Teller Challenge" has agreed to match in its entirety. This year was AFAN's largest fund raiser to date - and its efforts will go towards educating and assisting more than 3,000 men, woman and children infected with HIV and AIDS in Southern Nevada.

A special thanks to those involved this year, especially Penn and Teller, who all made a major difference in making this year's efforts the biggest one yet!
