Academy Award Nominated Chazz Palminteri In A Bronx Tale At Venetian

Academy Award nominated actor Chazz Palminteri’s performs in a Las Vegas show, A Bronx Tale, at The Venetian Las Vegas inside The Venetian Showroom for a limited engagement from October 7-18. After a successful run on Broadway, Palminteri has been touring A BRONX TALE across the country to rave reviews and this will be the first time he’s débuted the show to a Las Vegas audience.

“A BRONX TALE is one of those stories that just grabs you from the start and places you right in the world Chazz Palminteri grew up in during the 1960’s,” stated Jason Gastwirth, corporate vice president of entertainment for Las Vegas Sands Corp. “Chazz brilliantly evokes a bygone area of hustlers, goodfellas and charismatic mob bosses who ruled their neighborhood with both compassion and ruthlessness. We continually strive to provide a broad spectrum of entertainment options for our guests and believe A BRONX TALE is a truly one-of-a-kind show with an actor of remarkable talent that will be right at home among our extraordinary entertainment lineup at The Venetian and The Palazzo including Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular, Wayne Brady, Blue Man Group and Jersey Boys.”

First mounted off-Broadway in 1989, A BRONX TALE is a funny and touching memoir written by and starring Chazz Palminteri. In the celebrated play on which he based the legendary movie, directed by and co-starring Robert De Niro, Palminteri brings 18 characters to life while vividly depicting a young boy’s rough childhood in the 1960’s-era Bronx and the unforgettable people he encountered. A classic coming-of-age story about reaching your true potential and trusting your heart, A BRONX TALE is directed by four-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Zaks and produced by GO Productions, LLC, a Las Vegas based production company.

Touring to enthusiastic audiences across the United States , Palminteri continues to “wow” the critics and the public. The New York Times describes A BRONX TALE as “a rejuvenating act of faith in the powers of acting and storytelling. This memoir has heart, spice and humor” while the Associated Press calls it, “enormously entertaining. A vibrant, warmhearted saga. Palminteri conjures up a parade of appealing characters with humor, great affection and more than a little heartbreak.”

"Ever since I was a young actor, my two biggest dreams were performing on Broadway and in Las Vegas . I am very excited to be doing my show at The Venetian,” said Palminteri.

Tickets are priced at $46, $66 and $86 inclusive of tax and handling fees and go on sale Wednesday, August 5 at 10 a.m. The show runs approximately 85 minutes and will begin at 8 p.m. nightly.
