"300" Sequel Gets Title, Work Progresses
The innovative cinematic thriller from 2007, 300, helped lead a new age of film technology into fruition. And while talks of a much anticipated sequel have been swirling for quite some time now, the ball appears to finally be rolling.
The holdup was primarily due to the hit movie's director, Zach Snyder, pulling away from the follow-up flick as he is working on another upcoming project. But as things have begun to take shape, we now have an official title for the second action piece, 300: Battle of Artemisia.
The film will focus on the the tale of Xerxes and how he was positioned into the unsettling god that we saw in the initial flick.
And while progression is of course fine and dandy, we can't get too ahead of ourselves as the project hasn't even locked down a replacement director yet.
So as of right now, all we are left with is but a drop to quench our action-necessitate thirst and to pop in that 300 DVD a few more dozen times til this bad boy comes out in 2014 (just my speculation)>.
Here's to the most exciting flick since Mel Gibson's Braveheart.
